Are you interested in stargazing?
We are proud to be home to not one, but two official Dark Sky Discovery Sites – Golden Valley in Castlemorton and in Mathon.
WHAT TO TAKE ON YOUR STARGAZING ADVENTURE
Compass – if searching for particular stars or constellations
Star guide – Printed or electronic. Google sky map is good for android phones.
Camera
Warm clothes
Refreshments
Blanket / camping mat – something good to lie back on.
Red torch – can cover torch with red sweet wrapper or film or even red nail polish
Binoculars but not essential – on a clear night the naked eye can see plenty!
